Atacama 2012

I went back to the Atacama in 2012 to dig more holes in the desert:

and, with the help of my wonderful field assistant, Dr. Aubrey Zerkle, take some transects to asses surface heterogeneity

We also did some fun artificial rain experiments:

and generally, managed to have some fun in the driest place on Earth:
