The Picarro has arrived!
No sooner did I return from Norway with exiting new Paleoproterozoic samples, did the first piece of major equipment from the ERC grant arrive – a brand new Picarro L-2140i water isotope analyser
This awesome piece of kit can measure all the stable isotopes of water to exquisite precision. We’ve started to get it set up, although am awaiting delivery of a new gas tank and some time to build a line in order to turn it on. Stay tuned!
